SUMMARY:Heel to Heal 5K
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nWelcome to the 2024 Emory Heel to Heal 5K! Organized 
 by Emory University's Physician Assistant (PA) program\, this event is ded
 icated to serving the Atlanta metropolitan area and southern Georgia\, par
 ticularly populations with limited access to medical care.\n\nThe primary 
 goal of this run/walk is to provide financial support for three non-profit
  organizations directly involved with the PA program. These organizations 
 play a crucial role in the community by offering healthcare services to me
 dically underserved individuals. Two of the organizations are local free c
 linics that the PA students manage on a monthly basis\, while the third in
 itiative focuses on providing free healthcare to nearly 2\,500 migrant far
 mworkers and their families. This project involves collaboration among PA\
 , medical\, nursing\, and physical therapy students\, faculty\, and health
 care providers\, who come together for a series of pop-up clinics in South
 ern Georgia over a two-and-a-half-week period.\n\nThe success of these cli
 nics heavily relies on the generosity of donors and community support. Par
 ticipants are invited to join this meaningful event for a morning of runni
 ng or walking\, all while raising funds for essential medications and supp
 lies needed by these community organizations.\n\nIf running isn’t your p
 reference\, feel free to walk the course or simply come along to enjoy the
  after-party festivities. The event appreciates the ongoing support from p
 articipants and sponsors alike\, and they are thrilled to welcome everyone
  this October!\n\nPlease note that participants under the age of 18 must h
 ave a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver on the day of the race.\
