Black Men’s Wellness Day: Celebrating Health & Empowering Lives

Calling all Black men! Black Men’s Wellness Day on Saturday, September 14th is dedicated to empowering your well-being and closing the health gap. Join this FREE event brimming with resources, fun, and a focus on preventative health.

A Legacy of Change:

Since 2004, the African American Male Wellness Agency (AA Wellness Agency) has spearheaded Black Men’s Wellness Day, advocating for Black men’s health across the nation. For two decades, they’ve worked tirelessly to:

  • Raise Awareness: Highlight the disparity in life expectancy for Black men compared to white counterparts.
  • Close the Health Gap: Equip Black men with the knowledge and resources to prioritize their health.
  • Empower Prevention: Promote healthy habits and early detection of preventable diseases.

A Day Packed with Value:

Black Men’s Wellness Day offers a comprehensive experience to supercharge your well-being:

  • Free Health Screenings: Access vital health screenings for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV, STD/STI, and prostate cancer, empowering you to “know your numbers.”
  • Engaging Vendors: Connect with vendors showcasing resources and products that promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Live Entertainment: Enjoy lively music and performances, creating a festive atmosphere and fostering a sense of community.
  • Family-Friendly Fun: Bring the whole family for fun activities and experiences designed to inspire healthy habits for all ages.

Your Health is Your Priority:

The AA Wellness Agency encourages Black men to:

  • Know Your Numbers: Regular health screenings are crucial for early detection and preventative measures.
  • Get Moving: Staying active is essential for overall well-being. Black Men’s Wellness Day promotes healthy movement through its 5K Walk & Run (details might need to be added).
  • Visit the Doctor Annually: Don’t wait for symptoms to arise. Regular doctor visits are critical for preventive care and personalized health plans.

Join the Movement:

Black Men’s Wellness Day is more than just an event; it’s a movement. Join this initiative to:

  • Celebrate Your Health: Take charge of your health and well-being in a supportive and empowering environment.
  • Connect with Your Community: Network with other Black men and create lasting connections.
  • Inspire Future Generations: Promote a culture of health awareness and empower future generations to prioritize their well-being.

Black Men’s Wellness Day is an invitation to invest in yourself and your future. Mark your calendars for September 14th and take a step towards a healthier, happier you!
