Get ready for a spook-tacular day of family fun at Goblins in the Garden, a festive Halloween event perfect for children and families alike. This enchanting day offers an array of fall-themed activities, from showcasing creative costumes on the Goblins Runway to enjoying interactive entertainment, pony rides, and a variety of hands-on experiences that will create lasting memories for all who attend.

The event encourages families to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes, with the Goblins Runway taking center stage. Happening at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM, this event allows kids to strut their stuff in front of a delighted audience, showing off their most creative costumes. Whether dressed as a spooky ghost or a friendly fairy, each child gets their moment to shine on the runway.

For music lovers, the day also features the ever-popular “Music Party” with Travis Murphy at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Travis, a seasoned music educator and performer, brings an engaging and interactive musical adventure to the Garden. His lively sessions invite kids to sing, move, and explore different sounds with silly lyrics and fun movements. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or ground covers to relax and enjoy the performance.

Adventurous children can also take a ride on the Children’s Ride-on-Train, operating from 10 AM to 4 PM. For just $5 per passenger (or $3 for members), kids can hop aboard and take a delightful journey through the garden. While younger children should be accompanied by adults, older children are encouraged to ride solo for an extra thrill.

Pony rides will also be available from 10 AM to 4 PM, offering another chance for kids to engage with nature and enjoy the great outdoors. At $6 per ride ($4 for members), this popular activity promises a magical experience for children, with plenty of photo-worthy moments along the way.

Creative minds will love the chance to get crafty with Mini Pumpkin Decorating, where little ones can decorate their very own pumpkin to take home as a festive keepsake. From 10 AM to 4 PM, kids will have all the supplies they need to unleash their imagination and personalize their pumpkins in a fun, hands-on activity.

In the Rose Garden, families can explore even more Halloween-themed fun from 10 AM to 4 PM, with magical potion-making, spooky playdough, and a witch-hat toss game. This area promises endless entertainment for curious kids, along with a special visit from the Sanderson Sisters between noon and 4 PM, adding a touch of Halloween magic to the day.

The Journey to Literacy, hosted by the Junior League of Atlanta, runs from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. This interactive program offers families the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education. Caregivers will learn effective ways to foster literacy skills in young children, making it both educational and fun.

Finally, for those with a taste for culinary adventure, the Garden Chef Demos will feature family-friendly cooking demonstrations by Pamela Askerneese-Henry at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Pamela, co-owner of Pam’s Magic Cauldron, will inspire families to try new, mouthwatering recipes made with high-quality ingredients in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn delicious and healthy cooking tips.

All activities at Goblins in the Garden are free with general admission, making it a can’t-miss event for families looking to enjoy a festive day full of Halloween magic. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume, ready to celebrate the season with a variety of exciting experiences tailored for the whole family.
