Kick off your Saturday with an energizing 11-mile bike ride on the scenic Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. This guided tour offers a perfect opportunity to explore the historic neighborhoods of Atlanta while enjoying fresh air and cooler morning temperatures. The tour begins and ends at the vibrant Lee + White development in West End, where you’ll have access to ample free parking and can explore the amenities after your ride.

Tour Details: Led by experienced volunteer guides familiar with the Atlanta BeltLine project, the tour offers insights into the local history and culture of the neighborhoods along the trail. The ride is supported by a sweep cyclist who ensures everyone stays together and maintains a safe and enjoyable pace. Both the guide and sweep are well-versed in bicycle safety and etiquette, ensuring a smooth experience for all.

The tour covers relatively flat terrain with a few moderate hills, making it accessible for most riders. Participants should be at least 13 years old, unless riding in a child seat attached to an adult’s bike. Riders should feel comfortable with completing the 11-mile route, which includes several informative stops along the way.

Tour Schedule:

  • Start Time: 9:00 AM (Arrive by 8:45 AM for check-in, or 8:30 AM if renting bikes)
  • End Time: Approximately 12:00 PM

Meeting Point:
Lee + White development on White St. in West End.

Tour Fee: A $10 donation per participant is required, with a small additional fee via Eventbrite. All proceeds go to the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, a nonprofit organization committed to realizing the full vision of the BeltLine project. If the cost is prohibitive, participants can contact the organization at info@atlblp.org for financial assistance.

Group Size: The tour is limited to 20 participants to ensure a quality experience. You can reserve up to four spots per booking.

Liability Waiver: All participants must complete a liability waiver before the tour. If you’re registering for others, you’ll need to provide their names and email addresses and complete the waiver on their behalf to finalize the registration.

Tour Highlights: During the ride, your guide will introduce you to key sites along the Westside Trail, including:

  • Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum
  • Westview Cemetery (entrance only)
  • Westview Commercial District
  • Washington Park
  • Murphy Crossing
  • Aluma Urban Farm
  • Art on the Atlanta BeltLine installations
  • The newly opened western section of the Southside Trail, with a stop at Pittsburgh Yards.

Each participant will receive a complimentary bottle of Positivity Alkaline Water, and you are welcome to bring your own snacks for the journey.

Cancellation Policy: Atlanta BeltLine Partnership aims to accommodate changes in plans while ensuring proper event planning. The following refund policies apply:

  • A full refund of the donation is available if cancellation is requested by 5:00 PM the Thursday before the event by contacting john@atlblp.org.
  • Participants may transfer their registration to another rider by contacting the same email by the deadline.
  • In case of inclement weather, participants can request a refund.
